-
Discussion & Reflection
Participants engaged in discussions and reflections, deepening their understanding of topics such as well-being, resilience, and emotional health.

To Research Project

After completing the course, students applied their learning through a Joint Mental Health Survey Project.
Building on concepts like well-being and resilience, students moved beyond theory to design surveys, collect data, and promote mental health awareness—turning knowledge into real-world impact.

Youth Mental Health Joint Survey Project
We are excited to announce the launch of a Joint Mental Health Survey across high schools in Orange County, California. This event goes beyond a simple questionnaire — it is a meaningful initiative that encourages students to show care for others, raise awareness about mental health, and strengthen collaboration between schools. By participating, students will not only contribute to building healthier, more supportive communities but also gain valuable experiences that highlight their social responsibility and personal growth.
The survey is conducted through a Google Form, making it easy and convenient for students to participate. The online format ensures wide accessibility across different schools, allowing students to complete the questionnaire anytime and anywhere. This approach not only saves time but also helps us collect responses efficiently, ensuring that every student’s voice can be heard and included in the project.

Project Purpose:
Build Core Qualities:
This project gives students the opportunity to demonstrate qualities that are highly valued by universities. By showing care for others, addressing important social issues, and taking responsibility for collective well-being, participants will develop empathy and leadership skills. These experiences not only enrich personal growth but also strengthen college applications, where evidence of social responsibility and community engagement is deeply respected.
Raise Awareness:
Mental health is often overlooked in school life, yet it is central to academic success and personal development. This survey encourages students to reflect on their own well-being, while also fostering a culture of openness and support within the school community. By sparking dialogue, the initiative aims to reduce stigma, increase understanding, and promote healthier, more inclusive school environments.
Promote Collaboration:
Unlike traditional projects limited to a single school, this joint survey emphasizes cross-school cooperation. Students from different campuses will work together, exchange ideas, and build meaningful connections. This collaboration not only strengthens communication and teamwork skills but also creates a sense of solidarity among youth across Orange County, encouraging them to see themselves as part of a larger community.
Gain Experience:
Participation in this event provides students with authentic, hands-on experience that goes beyond textbooks. From organizing and promoting the survey to analyzing responses and sharing outcomes, students will practice project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving. These skills are directly transferable to future academic, professional, and civic pursuits, while also demonstrating the positive role young people can play in shaping society.
