Civic Leader Club
The NextGen Civic Leaders Club provides students with direct exposure to real-world public policy and civic leadership through city-level engagement opportunities.
Following participation in prior city council discussions at Irvine City Hall, students were selected to attend the Vice Mayor’s Youth Leadership Conference, hosted at Irvine City Hall.

Policy Brief Competition
Students developed and presented policy proposals directly to the Vice Mayor, gaining first-hand experience in public decision-making processes. -
Leadership Networking
Participants engaged in face-to-face discussions with city officials and industry leaders, building a deeper understanding of civic leadership. -
Youth Advisory Council Pathway
Outstanding participants gained priority consideration for application to the Youth Advisory Council.

Participants learned how to take on leadership roles within campaign structures, including the opportunity to become a Campaign Captain and lead volunteer teams. -

Training covered real-world communication methods such as phone outreach, email coordination, and face-to-face community interaction. -

Students were guided on how to actively engage in public affairs and contribute to community-level impact through organized efforts.

Distinguished Engagement
The event featured meaningful exchanges between students and public leaders, including former Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan, state-level candidate Oliver Ma, and congressional candidate Hunter Miranda.
Discussions covered topics such as education, family, and the future of California, offering students valuable insight into public leadership and civic responsibility.
